Drafting/Engineering Technician

Location: Centennial, CO

Description: This immediate, full-time position will divide time between construction inspections and in-office drafting. Inspection tasks include field inspections, documentation regarding inspections, coordination with clients and/or other staff, etc. Drafting expectations include assisting office engineers/architects in preparation of construction documents, lot-specific foundation plans, performing up-front project setup/templates for engineers, etc.

Requirements for Applicants: High school diploma or GED; prefer Technical Degree in related field (drafting, engineering technology, etc.). Demonstrated experience with CAD. Requires ability to read construction documents (plans) and understand detail callouts and typical framing details. Candidate must be willing to take ICC residential inspector certification test as soon as possible. Preference given to candidates with ICC certification. Must be willing to travel up to 1 hour each way to inspections on a routine basis; mileage is reimbursed. Must be willing to work outdoors and on construction sites and work in inclement weather.

Salary: $15-$17/HR with standard benefits, paid holidays, and paid vacation time.

Engineering Associate, Engineering Project Manager

Location: Arizona, Colorado, and Washington

Description: We have an immediate need for full-time EIT’s or PE’s interested in structural engineering for the residential home building field.

Duties will include working with a team on the engineering for single and multi-family structures and foundation designs.
Applicants must be self-motivated and organized.

Background: We are a full-service architectural, structural, and forensic engineering firm specializing in residential construction. We offer a wide range of services from schematic design to construction field observations. We work for a wide variety of clients from individual homeowners, national production home builders, insurance companies, and legal firms. We are licensed in 31 out of 50 states. We are looking for structural engineers that have a passion for working with clients and residential construction while helping to fill in on the forensic and inspection side of our firm. The workload between the field and the office may vary depending on demand. Experience with AutoCAD and coursework in wood design are both a plus but not an absolute requirement. We currently have offices in three states (AZ, CO and WA).

Drafting

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Description: This immediate, full-time position will provide support to the drafting department to create, edit and maintain project related drawings and construction documentation.
